The school is set on attractive grounds which include a good size playing field, trees and a short woodland walk. In addition, there are some small garden areas which children enjoy helping to plant and tend. We also have a Forest School area.
The school building is divided into two main parts; Early Years and Key Stage One are near the main entrance at the front of the school and Key Stage Two is at the rear of the building.

There is a Nursery, Reception, Year 1 Class and Year 2 Class in the front part of the school. The central administration corridor which houses the school office and headteacher’s office. In the centre of the building is our hall which is used for PE lessons, assemblies, special performances such as concerts, shows and whole school masses as well as school lunches. Following on from this towards Key Stage Two, we have our newly built library area and staff room.
This leads to the Key Stage Two classrooms, comprising of; Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. There are also a number of smaller teaching rooms which allow staff to work with individual pupils as well as small groups. These rooms are also used by staff from outside agencies who come into school to work with our children throughout the year.
There are three playgrounds in the school. One for Key Stage One children (located at the front of the school) this has some small-scale play equipment (pencils, stumps and a play house as well as floor markings) which children are free to use, under supervision, at playtimes. Our Key Stage Two playground is located at the back of the school close to the junior classrooms. This playground has a small climbing frame, floor markings and benches which children freely access during playtimes, again supervised by staff. We have a large fenced-in playground used for football and other games/activities involving balls. This ensures these games are safe and do not disrupt others when playing. At the side of the fenced playground, we also have a tyre park and activity playground – children access these on a rota basis.
Nursery and Reception children have access to their own outdoor play area located at the side of their classrooms.
