Pupil Premium
BACKGROUND:
The Pupil Premium is received by school annually to be used in a variety of ways in order to improve pupil attainment and to help overcome any barriers to learning. The fund was introduced in April 2011 and is aimed at supporting pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from low-income families who are currently, or have recently been, known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), and children whose parents are in the armed forces and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months.
